AMELIE BURGESS

Amelie Burgess is a professional dancer with over 18 years of experience. She began her journey at the age of 3 and trained in styles such as jazz, lyrical, classical ballet, acrobatics, tap, hip hop, pointe work, contemporary, Broadway, partnering, commercial jazz, and ballroom.

Amelie trained at Melbourne Dance Theatre for 10+ years before refining her craft through full-time studies at Patrick School of the Arts. Her professional career includes performing on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas for 8 months, where she travelled across Miami, Texas, and Mexico, performing in high-energy productions.

Amelie’s versatility extends to teaching, where she has inspired young dancers for three years. Her choreography earned her second place at the Grounded Battle of the Arts competition.

​

She has also performed in various high-profile gigs, including corporate work for Patrick Management, Spectrum Talent Agency, and Southern Beats Productions. Notable highlights include dancing at the RMIT graduation at Marvel Stadium, performing at the AFLW Pride event, and sharing the stage with Katy Perry at the T20 Cricket World Cup.

 

Amelie works alongside Stella Youth Dance Company as an assistant. Amelie also performed with the Victorian State Youth Ballet, taking on lead roles, including young Cinderella. With a strong passion for dance and storytelling, she continues to thrive as both a performer and a teacher, sharing her artistry and expertise with the next generation.
